My favorite line in “The Fault in Our Stars" is

"You used to call me Augustus."

I love the simplicity with which John Green points out the most basic hamartia of all human beings. He takes the smallest act of pulling away, by having Hazel refer to her star-crossed lover in a less affectionate way than she has previously, and turns it into one of the most meaningful sentences in the book. I think that’s beautiful.

What if John Green wrote a second tfios except it was from Augustus’s perspective. Like how he felt about Hazel and all his deep thoughts and his last thought before he dies and omg please.
